Perttu Saksa photographed Mariko, finnish singer as a modern version of Aino, story from Kalevala, Finnish national epic. The work was done for Ateneum Art Museum and Finnish National Gallery to be used in posters, invitations and outdoor ads to promote the grand Kalevala Exhibition.

The new Umbrella website was launched today. We would like to thank Hugo D´Alte (www.xbold.com) for the new graphic identity, copywriter Henri Purje for his cut-the-crap verbal input and Matti Lyra from Kuvio for Flash coding, original thoughts and technological assistance.
Samuli Karala joins Umbrella (21.11.2008)
Straight out of the medieval city of Turku, Finland, comes photographer Samuli Karala. Having studied in England, Samuli moved to Helsinki in 2004 and has been working as a freelance photographer ever since. We now welcome him into the Umbrella fold. A selection of his work can be seen in the portfolios section.
Mouse suit taking action (31.10.2008)
The process begun from Getty rip-off images and ended up in a DDR-style mouse suit featuring the slogan "Give your mouse a break". The pictures work as a new visual approach for Miradore, a company specialising in time and cost efficient IT solutions.
